To stop tidying kid's room (light-hearted)

So as I surveyed the mess and debris of my kid's room (age 9 and 6) last night, I thought to myself, 'I'm just going to stop tidying it up'. What is the point really? Everyday picking up cars, Lego, clothes, dolls, books etc etc etc
What would happen if I just stopped. Nothing would happen right and I'd free up time and stop feeling exasperated and annoyed.
I said this to my DS, I'm thinking of not tidying and just getting you guys to do it.
He said, 'I've been thinking that for years!, Why do you bother? We like it this way'
So maybe I'll just stop.

I get the same from my two (8 and 11) they share a room, it is a tip filled with stuff they bring home from boots sales and things. Once in a while I do a massive clear out of anything broken which they don't like. I am getting to the stage of tidying the rest of the flat and just putting stuff in there.
