A man hacked into a video baby monitor and scares the baby. I really want to report it but the police website isn't helpful. I have more info on the guy like his youtube channel.

Report it to facebook

BlackMirror · 27/02/2017 22:07

They don't give a shit and won't investigate it

That's terrible. I've reported it to Facebook. Honestly, what sicko finds that funny? Poor baby 😔

glitterazi · 27/02/2017 23:22

Report it to Facebook. Be aware that half the time they usually do Jack Shit and tell you it doesn't violate their terms and conditions though. Hmm

britbat23 · 27/02/2017 23:35

Firstly what crime do you imagine has been committed here?

Secondly where was the offence committed?

The real criminals are the parents who don't secure their webcam baby monitors. Accessing a video stream on the net is not "hacking".

londonrach · 27/02/2017 23:38

Report to fb but the couple of times i did they said was ok when it wasnt. Dont bother now. Just hide anything thats wrong as nothing you can do...

WorraLiberty · 27/02/2017 23:42

Have you actually reported to FB?

StarryIllusion · 27/02/2017 23:46

I've reported it too. If enough people report they do sometimes take it down just for a quiet life.

Schwifty · 27/02/2017 23:59

Is that real? Or just some jackass adding annoying audio over a video? Creepy either way.

BlackMirror · 28/02/2017 17:52

Brit - so it's not a crime to hack into people's cameras?

Yes reported and got message back saying doesn't go against guidelines which I know is a machine reply

I've reported things to fb in the past which they have initially said was within their gudielines, but then a while later they have agreed and removed the video/photo/page. I think if enough people report it, they remove it.

DeleteOrDecay · 28/02/2017 18:28

The video isn't showing up for me (not that I want to see it, sounds awful!), have they taken it down?

I find with reporting things on fb it's definitely a case of strength in numbers. If enough people report then they tend to relent and remove what ever it is. It's wrong really, there's been some really messed up stuff on fb on the past which blatantly violates their terms yet they say it doesn't.

BlackMirror · 28/02/2017 19:29

It's still there unfortunately

Getting it removed won't get that guy in trouble for though, it would be good if that arsehole got told off at least

Post link to it on local police twitter page?

watchoutformybutt · 28/02/2017 19:36

Because the police have absolutely nothing else to be doing.

Merrymumoftwo · 28/02/2017 19:41

I work for the police and we would investigate. Cyber crime is growing and there are units set up to deal. They can at least offer advice as there are agencies that also deal with this sort of thing. Just a question, Would it be more unreasonable if this person was spying on someone changing?

Leggit · 28/02/2017 19:42

I'm not clicking upthe link, because that's what these idiots want. Why are you further sharing it? Just report to fb, rant on here and leave it at that. Posting a link just gives it more exposure

aibu1983 · 02/03/2017 12:48

I'm sure this video was in the news a while ago.
