Aren't daughters a pain, DD asks for wiggly hair, starting plaiting plait one of about eight, starts moaning "are you finished yet, how many more".

honestly.

Nasty Mummy!

BettySpaghetti · 02/03/2007 14:54

I'd be happy with moaning -my DD (also 7) is going through a phase of screaming as if I'm dismembering her everytime I go near her with a hairbrush.

I thought girls of this age liked all the girly hair stuff?

numberwang · 02/03/2007 14:55

Have you tried bribery?

They can be so unreasonable can't they

Cappuccino · 02/03/2007 14:55

I once spent about two hours putting a plait in dd's hair

she will not sit still

there were all these kids at school with beautiful dos with bobbles and clips

we ended up with a cockeyed ponytail if we were lucky; it reflected badly on me

I just went down the hairdressers and demanded that they chop it all off

MamaG · 02/03/2007 14:56

I usually end up hissing at her

Yes! Was v. funny. Made my day that did

As for the hair, can't advise I'm afraid. My DDs have full on afro hair- straightners not an option.

When they need their hair doing(EVERYDAY- TAKES HOURS) I give them a pack of starburst. Takes ages to unwrap the sweets you see.

No, only joking. I only do that when they have lice......
