to think this was a stupido idea?

this morning a big labrador type dog got in the school gates. it had followed a little kid from a street around the corner.

it was bounding around very hyper and the kids were all chasing it about.

i went in school and informed a teacher what was going on and an assistant came out, used a skipping rope for a makeshift lead and led it back out the gate where she then unleashed it!

it's a very busy road there too!

didn't anyone check if it had a collar with contact number or anything???

I would have tied it to the gate outside school and either phoned it's tag or phoned the police/dog warden.

I wouldn't let it back out on the road, dogs aren't all that good at the Green Cross Code.

We occassionally have this happen we always call the dog patrol.

I would have thought that was a bit stupid really
