Looking to take kids 10 pin bowling today as a wee treat - 2 adults and 3 kids. For two games (so about an hour's entertainment) the cost is coming up at over £50. Without drinks, food or anything else.

I know it's half term but still - not really value for money, is it?

Don't go. Ridiculous pricing at half term. Go one day after school there's usually a 'happy hour' or similar on their quietest days.

I've not been for about two years. I refuse to pay those prices wear the weird shoes

Try Tuesday. If it's same company as my local it's half price that day. Half price drinks too.

And really it's not very much fun. Lots of waiting. It's a bit dull. I think bowling has had its day

I;m not keen either, but kids love it and DH wants to take them. I did suggest I wouldn't play and would just referee/watch but apparently the kids don't think tha'ts acceptable.

Its not as bad as the cinema. We went on a Tuesday night to bowl and it was sold out so we tried next door for a film. £60 for 2 adults and 4 kids! I felt so bad but I want paying it Blush

It's not worth the money for the time spent in there. Half price on overpriced drinks doesn't incentivise me much.

YADDNBU. We've looked at going with the dc a few times, but can't justify the price (also around £45 for 2 games or £68 for 3 games, both without food or drink).
