Hurrah for women!

I am SO SAD but I spotted a photo on hurrah for gin's instagram of her & the unmumsy mum out on the razz having fun together. She said something like "people always presume we hate each other when in fact we really like one another"...and I'm ashamed to say that's what I had presumed! I thought there was cutthroat and ruthless competition between the two of them. How awful! So isn't it great to see two women supporting each other over cocktails? (Also has anyone read the hurrah for gin book and is it honestly any good)?

You are a publisher's PR and I claim my £50

Sprink · 08/02/2017 09:31

longdiling · 08/02/2017 09:35

I really hope Bill is right because you are going to have your arse handed to you. Liking mum bloggers is Not The Done Thing on here op!

PotOfYoghurt · 08/02/2017 09:37

Fackorf · 08/02/2017 09:38

Yes, it is nice that people have had a nice time.

WorraLiberty · 08/02/2017 09:45

I have no idea who or what you're talking about? Confused

But 2 women having some alcohol together is a joy to behold I'm sure.

sonlypuppyfat · 08/02/2017 09:45

I love a riddle

KateDaniels2 · 08/02/2017 09:50

I am guessing they are 2 bloggers?

Just to play devils advocate, i work in a industry that has tons of bloggers. Often they take photos together.....as a PR stunt. Pretend they are friends and get more photos/coverage for instgram.

One of my best friends has over a million followers. She has photos with loads of people she doesnt like. Her PR team recommends it.

GinIsIn · 08/02/2017 09:52

"Isn't it great to see two women supporting each other over cocktails?" Hmm

Not really, no. Just..... normal.

MummyIsAFreeElf · 08/02/2017 09:57

I've read the book. TBH I didn't think it lived up to the hype. It was alright to read. I laughed a few times but I think the blog is better.

SockQueen · 08/02/2017 09:58

They are two mum bloggers. Quite well known if you're into that sphere, though I appreciate that it's not trendy to like them on MN.

I can't say I'd ever pondered the private lives of either of them, but it's nice that they get on.

WorraLiberty · 08/02/2017 10:53

It's not 'trendy' to like bloggers on MN, or could it be that lots of MNetters just genuinely don't like bloggers?

I'm not sure anyone cares about 'trends' when it comes to this sort of thing.

I got a Hurrah For Gin book for Christmas. I think because the picture on the cover was an exact description of my life currently.

TaraCarter · 08/02/2017 12:47

Your OP would have been much clearer if you'd used italics or Capitals for the bloggers' pennames. Take heed of this for your next thread.

Anyway, I hope they had a good night out.

livefornaps · 08/02/2017 13:10

* takes heed

Always loved that phrase
