That everyone has to finish their place marking post with the time the OP last posted, e.g.

Place marking

19:36

Because I'm a lazy cow who likes parking threads...

MongerTruffle · 07/02/2017 20:40

I don't really get place marking, especially if you're the first person to post (which I have seen in the past). JUST BOOKMARK THE PAGE!

UserOO7 · 07/02/2017 20:46

That's why you pretend to say something insightful...

ProudBadMum · 07/02/2017 20:47

No should place mark. Especially on threads about serious situations.

You are place marking on someone's real life there. Nosey silently and watch the thread of you need to know so bad but don't write place marking

Passmethecrisps · 07/02/2017 20:49

^this!

Someone is detailing the awful collapse of their life and someone comes along and posts a full stop.

TiggyD · 07/02/2017 20:50

I think that there should be a law that states that the thread title should give some fucking indication as to what the thread is about.

SmileEachDay · 07/02/2017 20:52

proudbad - although its someone's real life they have chosen to plaster over the Internet on an entirely open forum so y'know...

Birdsgottaf1y · 07/02/2017 20:53

Totally agree, your not recording a Soap, or tuning into a Catch up episode.

SmileEachDay · 07/02/2017 20:53

Blush it's

TiggyD · 07/02/2017 20:55

And nobody should be allowed to start an interesting thread that gweeks the interest of us nosey people and then fuck off down a cave in Bhutan for a month unable to post a follow up leaving us clenched to the sofa with intrigue.

Birdsgottaf1y · 07/02/2017 20:56

""although its someone's real life they have chosen to plaster over the Internet ""

No, they've posted on a Parent Support Forum, when they've need help/support.

SauvignonBlanche · 07/02/2017 20:57

I fucking hate placemarking, why don't people use bookmark?

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 07/02/2017 20:58

No, they've posted on a Parent Support Forum, when they've need help/support.

Which is still a public open forum.

TiggyD · 07/02/2017 20:59

And then there's the use of illegal smileys that don't show up on many computators. We have a list people!

SmileEachDay · 07/02/2017 20:59

No, they've posted on a Parent Support Forum, when they've need help/support.

...on a totally open Internet forum.

ilovesooty · 07/02/2017 21:00

Putting a full stop is just plain rude.

FrankiesKnuckle · 07/02/2017 21:01

Just watch or bookmark the thread. Easy. Get your curtain twitching kicks without being spotted.

UserOO7 · 07/02/2017 21:01

Couldn't resist

OP posts:
TiggyD · 07/02/2017 21:02

A full stop? Or is it an 'l' seed?

diamondsforapril · 07/02/2017 21:03

Agree with sooty. It really annoys me.

Allthebestnamesareused · 07/02/2017 21:06

I don't know how to book mark or get op in colour despite reading various versions how to do it either on my iphone 5 or pc! Anyone happy to try to explain again

RustyPaperclip · 07/02/2017 21:13

Placemarking baffles me, why not just bookmark the last post? Is there a secret benefit to placemarking?

ShizerMinelli · 07/02/2017 21:19

To bookmark just swipe the comment you're on to the left and it pops up with the option to click on a little bookmark. Also watch the thread too - foolproof. (No idea about this colour fandango though)
