To ask if you lean forward when on the toilet?!

Don't ask how, but a friend and I were discussing toilet habits and this cropped up.

Lean forward or sit up straight? Not sure if it makes any difference?

Oh and legs open or closed?!

I normally sit up straight, except for when I just gave birth and leaning so far forward that my head was practically on the floor was the only way to actually pee

Sit up, legs closed and then when I've finished lean forward momentarily to fully empty the bladder, it's a habit left from three pregnancies last one 14 years ago.

Sitting up straight and leaning slightly back helps your bladder empty more effectively (suffered with cystitis a lot in my 20's).

Sitting with your feet on a step stool helps your bowels to open (hate that phrase!) with less straining.
