Ds1 is 'between jobs'. He's applied for Job Seekers Allowance and is due to sign on again next week. He has an interview next week so can't go on his allocated day. Has called them to inform them and what do they say?.........
Can you change the day of your interview? Oh FGS!
And if he can't (and he can't because it's an all day group thingy) it will affect his benefit. Which is a laugh because he hasn't flippin had any yet!!!

we had this last monday with my DH. he went for an interview so couldnt make the signing on. Hes not missed an appointment in the 13 weeks he had been signed on. The jobcentre wanted written proof from the interviewee stating that my DH was there at the time!! So he went in earlier and signed in early that day instead then went to his interview in the afternoon. Also, they were a pain expecting him to apply for jobs 30+ miles away

incidentally he got the job so they can stuff their offers where the sun don't shine!!

Well done to your dh AnAngel.

He can't get there at all that day because it's a full day interview. Plus he's on the bus. He took his interview letter into the benefits office today and they basically said 'tough'. Sign on or you may not get your benefit. They can't/won't change the day

that's ridiculous SMBK - if he's shown them proof he has provided a good reason as per Anangelwithin's experience
