Going back to the gym today

I can't find a topic about the gym so I have posted here.

I gave birth to my little girl 7 weeks ago today and have been itching to get back to the gym since I had a break from it during pregnancy too.

I'm going back today but don't want to over do it has anyone else gone back after a pregnancy/birth break and if so what sort of thing did you do? Wondering if I should start building up my cardio first?

Any help would be lovely Smile

I left it 12 weeks after my c-sections and took it very very easy for the first few sessions.

As long as you've had your 12 week check and your know how to modify your routine I think it's a good idea.

I wouldn't want to put too much stress on pelvic or stomach muscles just yet but some light strength training in upper body would be fine and some cardio to ease yourself back in
