Sorry not sure if this really is an AIBU post but dunno where else to go...

Ordered sofa online, delivered in two weeks. Thursday morning it arrived, two delivery men put it in the sitting room, took box and plastic away, sofa had a staggered bottom, bottom frame seemed to have been broken.

Tthe delivery guy rang the sofa company straight away, was told to leave the sofa in the house, and send photos via email.

Pics sent, no response. I rang customer service, was told that I "would be contacted" ; chased again via email, was told it's "under investigation, please wait to be contacted"

My question is why should their investigation affect me? I expect them to send a replacement straight away, now how should I word my reply to them, I am furious, I might say things I shouldn't..

Contact Trading Standards, they should have taken it away.

What's the company OP?

Call them and refuse to be fobbed off. They should not have delivered a damaged sofa you should have asked them to return it.
