to not understand mum blogging

I can understand why people do it, they have something to do, feel busy and hopefully get advertorials or some sort of money

Its the readers, why would you read a blog written by a bog standard Mum? isn't there anything better to read?

about life as a working Mum of 2 crazee kids, my commute and LIDL versus Waitrose, and some nicked recipes

I means that's boring right? Confused

Ugh, that blog post is even worse than I anticipated.

Bloggybollocks · 28/01/2017 17:33

Why thehip? If you put your life out there, your 'opininons' and judgements about others you should expect people to have a right to reply. The truth is she didn't know anything about the other mother but sat in judgement of her and her parenting in the worst way. How would that other mother feel if she knew she was the subject of a blog post? Read by thousands? It's despicable it really is and yet if anyone dares to question this the post gets pulled? Sort it out MNHQ.
She's allowed to slag off another parent but nobody is allowed to say anything negative about her (public) blog?!

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 28/01/2017 17:34

I can't say a word bloggy as I really didn't start this thread to bitch - honest !
But Jesus Grin

I think we have a wee rant about other things that other women do because we see it ! Men so silly crappy things to but it's not on our radar

And when does genuine amusement (facebook rat) turn inti malice ? Can't we take the piss a bit without being unkind ?

Anyway I didn't start this thread to be vile - I just find it funny

No doubt the ll now be labelled a jealous troll by all the 'huns' who lap up that (badly) written shit.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 28/01/2017 17:37

It's so bad - it's like a pastiche!

I've had people suggest to me to blog or the youtube thing because i have a large family.

No way. Not ever. I am not going to parade my family around the net for people to bad mouth, slag off and run down like they do to every other large family that appears on the tv/net etc.

NerrSnerr · 28/01/2017 17:40

I absolutely agree that blog posts like that are just awful. She has no idea what was going on in that woman's life at that moment. Smug smug smug.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 28/01/2017 17:44

And how long did it take her to take that artfully poses
Photo of her brunch anyway ! Bet she had her phone out for that !

Oops I think I remember the last thread

Yes, apologies in advance if this gets pulled!

Sparklingbrook · 28/01/2017 17:50

YY that was the blog I was referring to in my first post on the thread. It was not good. She was not happy.

FuckOffDailyMailQuitQuotingMN · 28/01/2017 17:51

That is bad. I don't even know what to say about it.

Yuck. Can she not see how she is casting herself?

leeleeloves89 · 28/01/2017 17:53

I have one, and we have a fairly decent sized following, but I do it because I enjoy it.

Of course it wouldn't interest everyone and most people don't care if the last pushchair we reviewed can fit on a bus or in the car, but some mums do.

custardismyhamster · 28/01/2017 17:56

I blog, I have no DC though.

I earn a small amount from my blog (approx 10% of my day job wages) and get the odd freebie, invites to events etc. I met a lot of my friends through blogging and have taught myself lots of skills and got into photography through my blog

I always always disclose when something is sponsored (i.e. I've. been paid to write it) or I've been sent an item to review, and my reviews are always honest.

PresidentOliviaMumsnet · 28/01/2017 18:41

Good evening all
Just a note to remind you that Mumsnet's raison d'être is to make lives easier and that if there's ONE thing we can all do with, it's some moral support.

glitterazi · 28/01/2017 18:45

Well said OliviaMumsnet. Smile

PresidentOliviaMumsnet · 28/01/2017 18:45

@Bloggybollocks

.Sort it out MNHQ.

We're not going to delete the thread but we do think that posting links in this way is not really in the spirit of OUR site.
Thanks everso

JournosAreLazy · 28/01/2017 18:49

Grin at MN referring to moral support when that blog offers anything but.
