I've been having episodes of chest pain and breathlessness, increasingly regular. No cough or anything else. Particularly bad tonight, what might this be?

I'm sorry you're feeling ill but any replies are likely to make you feel much worse - far worse than Googling your symptoms, which isn't always a good idea either.

Can you ring 111 or wait til tomorrow to phone your GP? Thanks

HackAttack · 24/01/2017 23:27

Definitely heading to the gp tomorrow, been waiting for this week as I'm on annual leave. Bloody uncomfortable

Asthma? Pulled muscles? Shallow breathing? Make sure you're breathing slowly and deeply. Try sitting up. Try not to tense/panic!

Wishing you a calm night and prompt access to a gp.

I missed part of the post, increasingly regular over the past three weeks, no asthma, no injury I know of

Are you worried about anything?

HackAttack · 24/01/2017 23:38

I'm just a bit bewildered. I don't smoke, no health conditions apart from a long term pain issue that's managed, healthy lifestyle and then this.

Outside of these episodes I feel well, it makes not sense.

I would second calling 111, we're (mostly) not medical professionals, and even those who are can't diagnose you over the internet.

HackAttack · 24/01/2017 23:45

Easing off after 25 minutes, if it doesn't come back tonight I'll try to hold on for the gp. 111 will go straight to a and e and I'll avoid adding to their workload if I at all can.

Will feedback after gp
