To get a second food waste bin?

Bit of a boring post but I'm finding my food waste bin gets full very quickly. Its collected fort nightly but I find if I have a pineapple for example, half the bin is full! Should I get a second bin or is there a better way to dispose of pineapple ?

Get a second bin. We have two recycling bins & fill them both every time.

May as well get a second - doesn't mean you have to fill it every fortnight!

I tend to chop anything chunky like that down into smaller pieces. Helps a bit.

The worst was the bloody turkey carcass. Would have filled a bin on its own!

Get a waste disposal unit

TeaBelle · 19/01/2017 21:51

Love my waste disposal!

candyhearts · 19/01/2017 21:51

Ahh yes the carcasses Angry they use a whole bin! I will have to check with my council as I don't know if I'm actually 'allowed' another one. Maybe if I explain to them my pineapple situation they might have pity on me

How does waste disposal work? I've never had one - surely I couldn't have shoved my turkey down there Grin

Waste disposal even more of an eco disaster!

Any space for a compost bin?

FadedRed · 19/01/2017 22:33

Mytinsel yep, it would take care of chicken and turkey bones.
