AIBU by always defending Mumsnet......

I love Mumsnet, but I always feel like I have to defend it. When I mentioned that I frequent this site to my two sister in laws they giggled. When I asked what was wrong with Mumnet they said that it was full of awful, man hating, sexless lefties!

I got quite annoyed and told them that that was only the feminism part of the forum.

WIBU by giving them what for?

Well they are wrong (mostly) Smile

I went on the feminism board.

Once.

CaoNiMa · 17/01/2017 21:32

To be fair, I only come here for the awful, man-hating sexless lefties...

ChocChocPorridge · 17/01/2017 21:34

I'm not sure I'm any of those things (and I spend most of my time on the feminist board).

What did you say to them?

Katy07 · 17/01/2017 21:34

Yes you are being unreasonable Grin - particularly when it takes so damn long to change screens Angry

PurpleDaisies · 17/01/2017 21:34

They've clearly never seen so ev if the posters on the Brexit threads...

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2017 21:35

Really?? Confused

MuteButtonisOn · 17/01/2017 21:52

I describe mumsnet aibu to my other half as somethingawful circa 2001. Probably won't mean anything to you bunch of harridans. It's bloody great.

PollytheDolly · 17/01/2017 21:58

I'm fairly recent to MN although have lurked via google for years.

My DH2b is intrigued by it and often asks what's happening Grin

I burst out laughing on Sunday, it was the thread about the watch gift where the OPs DP was called a joyless fucknugget and that the gift was a lovely keepsake, unlike him.

He asked what I was laughing at so I told him, he burst out laughing too.

Mind you I'm a leftie who's a bit short of sex just now.

Magzmarsh · 17/01/2017 22:10

Is that Matthew Wright Grin

paxillin · 17/01/2017 23:11

We have lefties and righties, feminists and misogynists on MN. I am a feminist leftie who has quite a lot of sex with a man she does not hate. Can't say if awful or otherwise, that's for others to judge.

What's missing is a board for goadyfuckers.

HelenDenver · 17/01/2017 23:14

Bridge toc?

It's clear what the bridge is about, what is toc short for?

TheOtherGalen · 18/01/2017 00:22

Dip me in honey and throw me to the awful, man hating, sexless ... oh it says lefties? I thought it said lesbians. Well never mind, then. Carry on.
