AIBU to be a bit concerned this fever?

Last night ds who's 3 had a vomitting bug, no fever and was socks lots 30 times across 12 hours including bile.

This morning he stopped being sick, holding down fluids etc but now has a fever. Is this not a bit odd seeing as he didn't have one whilst vomiting?

It could just be his body fight back a bug. Temperature aren't good but they are the body's defences when fighting back. Does he have any other symptoms?

Had it the opposite way round here. Feeling slightly off for a few hours, then 39.5 fever for a day, then fever dropped but sick all night. Next day it was all gone, just a slightly groggy 4-year old. No idea what it was, definitely not your usual noro

No no other symptoms. I've given some medicine so his fever has gone now. Just worries it will come back in the night. Just thought it was really odd to have a fever start just after the vomitting has finished.

I would keep up with the medication and if he develops more symptoms or his fever comes back or isn't going with Meds I would ring 111 for advice
