To change curtains when I change bedding?

I currently have gold and teal bedding and gold curtains.

I've fallen in love with a silver velvet bed set (looks nicer than it sounds). It obvs won't go with my curtains so if I get it I'll buy the matching pair.

But I still like my gold sheets! Would it be madness to change the curtains over each time? It wouldn't be every time as I usually get the sheets through the wash and back on the bed the same day. But for when I fancy a change?

AIBU? Is this a thing people do?

There's no way I'd do it but if you can be bothered it's entirely your choice.

I've never heard of anyone doing this. How would you store your curtains without them creasing?

Wouldn't it be better to buy neutral curtains that go with both sets?

Someone I know has a "winter" soft furnishing theme and a "summer" one so curtains, throws, bedspreads, bedlinen even rugs, get swapped over.

I'm not that organised or that loaded to buy the stuff but I like the idea. Go for it - why not? It's your home and if you can afford it, then do it.

If you can be arsed then why not?

I couldn't be bothered myself though

I probably won't be bothered! I'll get the silver stuff and the gold will languish in a box until the end of time Grin
