everyday my car has condensation on the inside. i keep a little dehumidifier box thingy in there but doesnt totally cure it.

why does it happen?! i never see anyone else with the issue and sometimes its actually ice on the inside.

WIBU to ban people breathing in there.... WinkGrin

Mine does this too! Its really annoying as I have to wait for outside and inside to demist!

Mine used to do this but I got a couple of the bag things with the teeny absorbent balls in and I can honestly say they are brill. I think you can get them in Halfords. Sorry I can't remember the name of them! I got 2 large ones as I have a big 7 seater and they really have made a difference.

Check if you have water trapped inside the door. Some cars have a little valve that traps it.

My old car used to do this! I never got round to doing it but a friend recommended filling a couple of long socks with cheap cat litter and tying up the ends and leaving them in the car on the dash board to soak up excess moisture in the air. Like I said I never tried it but in theory it made sense so might be worth a try?

My car does that too. It freezes on the inside when its especially cold. It's a pain in the arse. Thank you for the tip about the dehumidifier boxes bornto, I'll try that.

You need to get it in the air, so heat up the car, but on a dry day, then drive around with the windows open full to get it out.

At the moment the water is just lingering in the air/window, you heat up the window to get it off and it gets in the air, but then condenses again - think of it like an air transplant!

I have to scrape mine inside and outside. It's highly annoying.
I'm trialing cat litter filled socks but no difference so far (actually seems worse)
Tried silica gel sachets in the past - useless.
Off to google other options mentioned above

Now you have cat litter in the car how about a cat to lick the windows dry or rub on the windows to dry them? WinkGrin I may just be overtired.....

Sold my old car because it was always wet inside (I mean really wet, mats sopping wet and water dripping through the sunroof) but this one is not much better. Always misted up and this morning I had to scrape ice off the inside as well as the outside.

I have got the bags that are supposed to absorb the water in the atmosphere, plus the boxes with the crystals in, plus I have the windows open to dry it out whenever I get a chance. Don't see what else I can do really. Am fed up though!

The doors/windows aren't completely sealed when closed. DH has this problem.

My car always has lines of dried water on the inside of the windscreen, like watermarks. It's so annoying! I can't understand how the inside of the glass gets wet and then dry again?! It's only a year old as well.

I'm definitely going to get the dehumidifier ball things at the weekend and keep my fingers crossed.

Mine was frozen on the inside this morning (actual ice).

I used de-icer and kitchen roll to remove it, and felt super-smug when pulling off the driveway.

I then drove to work with the windows up, and the hot air re-circulating. I felt really stoned when I got to work. It took about 90 minutes for the headache to clear.

Have you tried tightly closing all of your vents at night ? I find that this works a treat in my previously soggy car.

Mine will not stop steaming up the entire time I am driving I am fiddling with vents. Worse if kids in car. I don't want the bloody heating or Luke warm air on ALL the time.
So far the only solution is to have window open very slightly, air on windscreen half hot half cold and make kids clean the back windows every 10 mins.
It drives me bonkers

Is it a Ford KA? My daughter had one of those and she sometimes she had to bail it out with a jug. When she went off to uni and didn't drive it for 8 weeks she had to clean the mould off with bleach. The dealer said it was a known issue. She has a Micra now and it's all tickety boo.

I have a Micra, and it does this if I don't make sure the windows are right up - if I open the door and put the window up, it will go up another 1/4" or so.

I am really missing rear windscreen wipers :(

Sellfridges apparently very common with golfs! Dh spent 20 mins scraping ice off the outside and inside of his this morning!

Mine has a leaky boot so gets a bit damp and smelly after a rainy night Sad
