Ex in-laws smoky house

AIBU to not want ex taking dd (2) to his parents house when it's basically a smoke pit? They've agreed to smoke outside when dd is actually there but the room still stinks.

We were no contact for a long time and now ex is back in touch with them.

Print him off some info on kids and passive smoking to justify your concerns.

I would be against my toddler going!!

We have this at MIL house. Think 60+ fags a day for 40 years. utterly stinks. We wash everything that enters the house and leave coats, bags etc in the car. We stay overnight (or 2 nights) but go out for a good portion of the day. I take the view that living in SW smoggy London, the kids get a blast of NO2 every time they step out the house and walk along the high street - that's far more likely to cause asthmatic type issues... so really a few hours in a stinky house is very unlikely to do any damage.
