Is the vomiting bug particularly bad this year?

I'm just about getting over the worst bug I have ever had,and I've had some corkers.

Was in the bathroom for two hours straight as I just kept throwing up.

It's been going round and I thought I had avoided it, there were only 7 children in DD's class one day last week due to sickness, wards closed in the local hospital

We've been bleaching everywhere and scrubbing hands, but first DH got it then me. I really hope DC aren't incubating it as we speak.

Honestly, DH especially never catches bugs!

It's awful. I never get bugs and I've been throwing up every hour today. Christmas is probably ruined.

I've spent the day crawling between my bed and the loo.

I've been disinfecting like a crazy as I really don't want my DH to come down with it.

It's awful. We had it in our house and lots of friends had it too.

One daughter had noro on Monday.

I got it Tuesday evening but only had the runs that evening and was fine the next day. No one else got it thank god. I also cared for 8 patients with it at work.

I had the vomiting bug early November....horrendous. then last week thought I had it again (I actually had an...ahem....accident...in my sleep which has never happened before) but then also felt like I had the worst cold of.my life and now think it might have actually been the flu (I hadn't known before that you can get v & d as flu symptoms). I'm officially sick of being ill.

Not aware of it at all, sorry! I've never had a vomiting bug - as far as I remember!

I'm not sure that it is worse this year.

Just a bit more eye catching as it's come a little earlier so people might be ill,at Christmas (isn't it usually Jan/Feb).

There are certainly wards closed (or visitors banned) every year. Friend had a DC on a ward during last year's outbreak. One parent could stay, but no other visitors at all.

Happily no victims in this house but my doctor friend says that all viruses, noro or otherwise, appear to be especially virulent this year (oxymoron?!). Purely observation from her though.

Definitely YANBU it is really bad this year, we all had it the other week - still feeling rough.

A few weeks back I was sick in more ways than one (if u catch my drift) and horrendously so.

At first it was every half hour, then it went to once an hour, almost like clockwork, and eventually stopped after about 20 hours.

Vile!!!!

It's awful, Ds1 came down with it, we had to put him in the shower and allowing him to just sit in the shower, he had no control at all, he ended up collapsing and lost consciousness.

it hit him hard and he ended up in A&E on a drip and machines, and then he needed liver tests as his keytones where all over the place, it took it about 2 weeks to recover from it. I posted on here debating if we should take him to A&E

Ds2 then got it as did dh he had to call in sick for the 1st in 18 years, then I got it however not as bad.

It's been reported on our local new due to the severity of it.

A local school was closed because of it. I don't remember that ever happening before...
