I have a very lively 19 month old and a 3 month old. 3 month old is easy, 19 month old never stops! Burst in to tears this morn and feel like saying sod it.

Christmas shopping with the 2 in tow has been a nightmare. Still have presents to get but after stopping for 19 month old to have a poo on toilet and get redressed god knows how many times, by which point 3 month old needed feeding again and then changing I haven't got out yet so shops will be horrendous and I won't be able to park.

I live in a 1 bed flat so we don't have any room at all. Put the tree up, 19 month old stripped it and smashed decorations, so taking it down again. 19 month old found presents (wrapped) so ripped them all open so got to rewrap...meant to have family to me this christmas but trying to reorganise so we go to them.

Anyone else having a nightmare?

Is there anyone else you know that will be shopping who can pick stuff up for you? Try and not stress too much for it!

Who do you have to shop for? I wouldn't bother - adults can understand and your kids are too young to know about Christmas.

I have family but everyone is either still at work or are now all done and unwinding :(

Kids are done. Still need to shop for grandparent presents from children.

Okay so the kids are sorted. Grandparents will understand esp if you're heading to them now that it's a bit mental. Maybe just say what you planned for them in a card and get it after. Seriously, don't be worrying. As pp it's one day.

Can GP come and have them for a couple of hours or take them whilst you take a moment

Anything that makes Christmas less stressful is a good idea.

Order them on amazon if you really have to get them! It sounds as though you've gone a bit overboard with presents!

I feel your pain. I have a toddler and a 4 month old and I'm shattered.

Sending a hug and sympathy. Tell GPS you can't do it and send them out themselves? Your DC are too young to really care about Christmas and the 19month old is the most difficult age known to mankind so cut yourself some slack and say, I've done my best.

Sorry, misread the GP bit. Get something tiny. DC aren't that good at shopping.

You have my sympathies totally. Mine are older but I'm exhausted too. Both DD's have had birthdays in the last 10 days and I've had two parties at home and birthday days out plus birthday cakes plus Xmas gifts and food to organise on my own. Genuinely feel like crying today.

People will understand if you say sorry you couldn't get much or anything children are hard work. Mine are 9 and 7 and sill a pair of monkeys. Just been to Tesco and forgot something.
