Me and dh are scheduled to go away tomorrow to a friends house. They are his friends who I know vaguely. But tomorrow and Sunday are my last days off til the 2nd of Jan (working all Christmas ) the children are going to grandparents for the weekend. I don't wanna go! I'm exhausted (permanent state) the dishwasher just broke, I have a weeks worth of washing to get done, its my staff party tonight so I want to drink and be hungover tomoro. I don't want to get up at 7 and drive half way across the country. I want to veg at home, on my own and eat take away! My other big reason is she uses hun as a noun. (oh hes such a hun! Etc) how can I persuade dh to go on his own when its meant to be a nice couples weekend, all grown up and fun with a meal out and polite smiles?! I don't think I'm being u but he will and we'll argue

I think uf you've agreed to go and they are expecting you and it's a couples thing you should go, I'm sorry.

Of you already agreed to go YABU to cancel at the last minute. Surely you knew you could be working at Christmas before you agreed to go away this weekend. And knowing you were going, the washing could have been done sooner. Mention it to DH and get him to do some of it today. OK the dishwasher breaking sucks but tlshit happens and it's not really an excuse not.to go away for the weekend. This is way too late in the day to change your mind.

YABU if you agreed to go and showed no signs you'd rather not. However there's no point of going and being miserable,so talk to him and tell him you're not up to it but he's free to go and enjoy.

I've cancelled all of my plans for this weekend because I felt exactly the same, I need all of my energy to get through the next week. I do break up on Fri though, so not as bad as you. I feel relief at not having to go out although a bit guilty that I've let people down. I just text everyone and said I wasn't well. Do it, you won't regret it!

Husband is utterly incompetent when it comes to washing. He manages to shrink /dye/ ruin everything, everytime. Plus he works more hours than I do!
