To ask if DD is a genius or just plain batshit? (lighthearted)

So DD(9) stopped believing in Santa last year. DS(5) still believes.

In our house Santa puts the treats (mini celebrations, etc) in the advent calendar. Unbeknown to me, DS had seen me doing this last night. He asked his sister about it, and she came up with an explanation...

"Mommy's an elf. That's why she's so small and wears pointy shoes".

She's told him that
a) "this is why our stocking presents were wrapped in newspaper last year" (10pm on Christmas eve, ran out of gift wrap)

b) The bottle of baileys DH buys for me every year is for the same purpose as the mince pie/carrot (salt and vinegar crisps last year as I forgot to buy carrots! )

c) The reason I roll my eyes at Christmas songs being on the TV in November is because i have to listen to them all year round in Santa's grotto

d) This is why I knew who ate all the silver balls off his birthday cake!

AIBU to think she has inherited my (high) level of batshitness?

Once when we made fairy houses outside my dd sbeaked outside and sprinkled glitter on them then loudly announced to the younger sister that fairies had moved in. This level of crazy denotes intelligence and wit and kindness so is to be encourared

That's so funny about the local Tesco being on your 'gift wrap' . I can just imagine my DS's being more fascinated by that than the presents!
