To beg for sympathy!?

I've been up every hour or so with terrible period pain, pain killers are doing nothing, I feel sick and the noises coming from me are not human!

Anyone else awake to try and take my mind of it?!

I'm awake-DD has been singing since about 5:30 and I've got to go to bloody Argos for when it opens to pick up a birthday present for my nephew and a Christmas gift to be delivered to a friends child tomorrow.

Argos-I'd December. I must be mad.

The only thing that budges bad period pain for me is feminax (with naproxen). You have my sympathy. FlowersChocolateWineCake

I had pain like you describe once, turned out it was an ovarian cyst. It didn't need any treatment and went on its own but the pain was worse than labour Flowers hope you feel better soon.

Hot water bottle? Flowers Bath?

Thanks - you have mine too! Our local Argos is queuing out the door every weekend so can only imagine than plus Christmas traffic, hope they like their presents though and DD's singing is good!

I had a c-section on Monday - are you taking Ibuprofen and Paracetamol? They're working for me m!

hollabackgirl · 11/12/2016 07:27

Thanks Christmas.

That sounds bloody awful! Unfortunately this isn't unusual for though it has come back worse last few months like when I was a teen, not sure why. Not fun!

I'm downstairs on the sofa for exactly the same reason, woke up thinking owwwwww what is that, it hurts! Then realised. Sounds like you're having it particularly bad though bless you. I second a hot water bottle if you have one. And rubbing tiger balm on your tummy.

hollabackgirl · 11/12/2016 07:28

Congratulations mum!

Yes to painkillers but no to hot water bottle- not moving from bathroom at the mo and feel guilty asking DH. But I might have to in a minute!!

Sofa Flowers

It's shit isn't it? It's so bloody sudden, one minute you're going to bed happily and next you're wide awake thinking what on earth is that. This bit usually only lasts a day or two, lucky it's the weekend.

hollaback oh god I don't want to go even more now you've said that Grin

DD just goes "lalalalala" until I get up-it's a very pleasant form of sleep deprivation/torture Grin

Champagneformyrealfriends · 11/12/2016 07:32

You should get one of those bears you put in the microwave-they're great ime Smile

Pilgit · 11/12/2016 07:34

I'm up as the children are up. You have my sympathy. I get it bad as well. I am being forced to watch cbeebies- we are at the in laws so I can't get on with the things I normally would...... (my children don't like interaction first thing - when they are older they will definitely be like me and DH - no human interaction before coffee..... so cbeebies works for all of us.......)

hollabackgirl · 11/12/2016 07:36

Perhaps yours will be ok?! Bless her, could me much worse, our old neighbours used to sing 'Someone Like You' 10000 times a day Angry

I called DH for a hot water bottle (pathetic I know but I'm stuck bent over!) and there was some rustling, I bet he's gone back to sleep- looking into microwave!

hollabackgirl · 11/12/2016 07:49

He was asleep but he made me the hot water bottle and a cuppa, what a champ. I think the pain killers are starting to dull it a little now and I've made it back to bed. In two weeks it will be Christmas Day! ShockShock
