To not attend this proposed meeting

I made a complaint quite some time ago to hospital. No reply for ages......complaint 'lost'.......resubmitted......date given for reply......overran.....two more dates given .......
FINALLY got a response. It was COMPLETELY unsatisfactory so immediately replied raising the points.
Ignored for 5 months despite contacting.
Finally resorted to getting a third party involved and was promised a meeting to be arranged within a week in September......that week passed......they said one more week......you guessed it.

Then they said by today they'd contact with a date for it. Nothing.

I don't want a meeting anymore. If they now come up with a date I'm going to say no. But am I being U after virtually begging for one?
After the delays etc I feel they won't be forthcoming with info or compliant in any way and now I feel like I should email instead and have a proper 'paper trail'
I think they will carry on ignoring me though ?

It's not unreasonable to not attend. ..you have been so badly treated. If they give you a date and you know your not going to attend, I would tell them tho. You never know how many other people are also waiting and could be given that slot. Absolutely tho put in writing that their behaviour is abusive (deliberately evading complaint) and that you have no trust in them. 3rd party you have involved may be able to help you raise the issue higher. Failing that...succinct overview of complaint and lack of response (failure to meet their own deadlines) to your local MP...then papers. I'd be loathed to roll over myself...but yes a paper trail is reassuring. Best of luck

At first I wanted a meeting but now I've waited so so long....and seen how they are clearly avoiding it I wonder how productive it would be anyway.
I don't want to get more stressed.....and it's been building up for so long that now I feel it would be better to set out my questions (again) and ask for answers in an email or letter rather than face to face as the answer then is recorded

Well....I have emailed them and informed that I now don't want a meeting and have sent my questions by email that I would have asked there. Given them 10 days to answer...we'll see....

Hope you get a response soon from them. Unbelievable how badly run some places are. Also...get PALS involved if not already x
