To give this gift?

I made a "sharpie cup" for someone only to find that it needs to be made with oil based sharpie to make it permanent and washable. I'm due to give it in an hour!! Can I do anything to make it washable?! Would it be unreasonable to give someone a cup they essentially can't use (or which will quickly turn into a plain white mug) lol??

I only have sharpies with me now and apparently baking it in the oven doesn't work when it's not the oil based ones!

I'd go without and just say that you forgot or that you have a gift for them that wasn't ready. Rather than hand over something that isn't right.

It's for a secret Santa and I've been pretty involved in planning it BlushBlush

Yes, make an excuse that you forgot and you'll pop it in at the weekend.

Describe it as a pen cup or some kind of receptacle that doesn't need washing?

I've put a note in just saying "DO NOT WASH THIS CUP" haha! But still open for other ideas!

It is actually the perfect prezzie if I'd used the right marker lol!
