To be so angry at a biscuit tin

Feel free to add your own irritations

Tonight I was wanting a biscuit from a tin of biscuits purchased for a Christmas gift (I was planning on replacing said eaten gift) and could I get in there???!! No.!!!

It was wrapped within an inch of its life. Impossible to get in. I am in bed and fancied a biscuit. In loft conversion so nowhere near the kitchen or utensils to use to get in tin. Had to resort to phone charger plug to cut in.

I thought it would be easy and not such a task.

It's your punishment for scoffing someone else's present. Wink

YABU, OP. The only bad biscuit tin is an empty one.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 08/12/2016 23:44

Is it bad that I'm now laughing at the thought of the same thing happening to the intended recipient? BlushGrin

I missed a good 5 minutes of question time trying to get into that bastard to get a jammy dodger.

I'm with Better on this one Xmas Grin

I feel the same about mushroom pate from sainsburys - seems to have 2 layers of laminate - why???

littlebigone · 08/12/2016 23:46

Livia! Yes ! I have 3 other tins for presents and feel I should type up a warning to go with them

Also Tesco seem to be the only place that do mushy peas with a ring pull. So if I go to Sainsbury's I end up having to get the darn tin opener out.

Ah but jammy dodgers are worth it Grin

Instead of typing up a warning, how about removing the risk altogether and keeping all of the biscuits for yourself? It's the kindest thing to do....

Ginkypig · 09/12/2016 00:04

Well I agree that biscuit tins are inherently evil due to one falling off a shelf in Tesco and breaking my toe less than a week before Christmas 2 years ago!

SnipSnapCrashCrack · 09/12/2016 00:48

Would this happen to be a proper jammy dodger tin? I bought one in b&m today and the lid would not come off Sad Took a huge amount of effort to get to the 7 mini packs inside.
