AIBU to think this is really odd

Sorry it's a Facebook one...

I'm being followed round Facebook by a stranger today. He's commenting on all my posts in all the groups I post in (mainly health/fitness ones) with vaguely unpleasant comments which started with a midnight rant following a comment I made that was pro EU (in that I was sad we voted to left, not that I want to overturn anything or that the world was ending). I did the grown up thing and ignore the original comment and have been chased round the site today with him making little digs at me everywhere. It's bizarre.

We have no friends in common, and I can't see how our paths have crossed in the past as we're at different ends of the country and we're very different age groups. I assume that it's someone with a lot of time on their hands but really!

AIBU to think this is not normal behaviour? Or is it standard these days?

Change who can see your posts from Public to Friends and then he cant see you

I've blocked and ignored but I'm a bit by the whole thing. Why goad a stranger? Also why go to the bother of tracking down things I say? Odd.

My posts are set to friends only unless they're in public groups (no point being in them if nobody can see what you say).

Just block him, then he won't see your posts and you won't see his.

People are bloody weird sometimes, that's why.

Why goad a stranger - because people find it fun. In fact winding people up can be fun, let's be honest, but if you did it to people you know you'd soon end up lonely.

And some people take it waayyyyy too far.
