I could murder a bowl right now.

MollyHuaCha · 06/12/2016 22:26

Ha ha, from the title I thought the thinking was that all highly processed over-sugared products masquerading as breakfast foods were to be condemned... was just about to jump on the bandwagon and sing the praises of organic porridge oats... ShockConfusedGrin

wifeyhun · 06/12/2016 22:28

YANBU a lot of very hard tooth breaking bits in the last box of Kellogs.

I like tescos choco snaps.

Lovewineandchocs · 06/12/2016 22:29

Make rice crispie treats with them Grin

MrsA2015 · 06/12/2016 22:41

Yes to rice krispy treats but cover them in some decent melted chocolate with peppermint flavouring YUMMMMMMMMMMM

Parkourbench · 06/12/2016 22:44

DH bought coco pops rocks last week because DS needed the "free inside" magic spoon.

No one will eat them. So I tried a bowl.
Consistency of wotsits but with a strange chocolate coating Confused

OwlinaTree · 06/12/2016 22:47

My 2yo who eats everything left a bowl after a few spoonfuls when we were visiting friends the other day so you may well have a point!

StarsandSparkles · 06/12/2016 22:47

Adding weetos to the list. Got a box and they were fucking revolting 😷

megletthesecond · 06/12/2016 22:49

Yanbu. I've never liked chocolate cereal.

My dc's on the other hand........

DanyellasDonkey · 06/12/2016 22:49

I love them - my guilty pleasure in amongst all the healthy boring stuff I'm meant to eat

00100001 · 07/12/2016 06:35

Try some different brands, much nicer!

Kmxxx14 · 07/12/2016 06:39

I don't like coco pops in general but I've found the same thing with other cereals. I can eat supermarket own brand bran flakes but kellogs are horrible!

ConvincingLiar · 07/12/2016 06:42

I love them. DD thinks they're a cereal for grown ups. She's only little though so trickable.

BarbaraofSeville · 07/12/2016 07:00

DP wanted coco pops but we were in aldi before a supermarket that sells brands and he grudgingly agreed to try their version (he's a bit of a brand snob). I asked him if they were nice and he said they are. He also happily eats aldi shreddies.

I think the reality is that a lot of main brands like kellogs, Heinz etc are a bit shit really and supermarket brands especially aldi are often much nicer but a lot of people are so blinded by branding that they never make an objective decision. The programme Eat Well for Less proves that.

Nabootique · 07/12/2016 08:53

I always liked them but it's been years since I last had them so maybe they've gone downhill. Interested to try the Waitrose own ones. Still love Wheetos for my chocolatey breakfast fix hides box from DD

Palomb · 07/12/2016 08:59

Lidl ones are lovely ❤️

DisappointingBanana · 07/12/2016 09:00

They are crap. Tesco ones are better, more chocolatey and half the price.
Agree with poster above about bran flakes. Kelloggs ones are awful, so sweet and sugary. Kellogs have this notion that the more sugar there is in a cereal, the more popular it will be. Even in a more grown up cereal like bran flakes.
Tesco value bran flakes are best!

squeezed · 07/12/2016 09:07

Coco pops were just about the only food I could keep down when I was pregnant. Don't know what I would have done without them.

WalterWhitesNipple · 07/12/2016 10:01

Yabvu. All coco pops are shite. Crunchy nut cornflakes and cinnamon crunch are the only acceptable cereals.

Starypjs · 07/12/2016 11:29

Melt a bar of chocolate and make some extra chocolaty crispy buns for a kids xmas party/ gift the neighbours/ shove into your in laws
