My dds head is in the 99th centile. She is 4 1/2 now so we are past this stage. Could you ask for your dd to be referred to physio to strengthen her muscles?

YoHoHoandabottleofTequila · 04/12/2016 22:18

I do think you need to see a children's physio.

My sister was like this. She was a total brainbox but didn't move a limb for ages. She didn't sit up till 18 months. Shes quite average physically now but also in the top of the top sets for academic subjects.

I had this. Big head so didn't sit up til 12 mths. Walking at close to 2 years. But according to dad I started talking at 9 mths and wouldn't shut up. GP at the time was concerned with Polio and when that was ruled out called it laziness and told my mum to return if I wasn't sitting up in 2 years!

If it was my child as they have nf1 I would ask gp for a paediatrician referral to review delayed development- just to be sure
