Those of you that know will know. Although I understand there are some strange individuals that didn't care for them.

Those of you that are too young will never know the joy of the flaky caramelly nutty crunchiness that was the peanut cracknel. Before Quality Street went downhill.

Sigh.

sillypussy · 02/12/2016 10:27

Finally !!! Someone who loved them as much as me!! I miss them too. Maybe we should start a campaign to bring them back?

BewtySkoolDropowt · 02/12/2016 10:30

pipsqueak, I will, I'll find something scrumptious when I'm shopping later and eat it - purely selflessly on your behalf!

sillypussy lets do it!! Even if they just sell them on their own rather than in the 'tins' (that would be better for me anyway!)

I expected people to tell me I should be over it by now, I mean it has been a long time but they were soooo good!

I miss the coffee chocolates, i get that only about 3 poeple loved them but I was one of them..... Sad Strangely, I don't remember the peanut cracknell though.

BewtySkoolDropowt · 02/12/2016 12:13

I didn't mind the coffee ones (which is odd because I don't like coffee to drink), my mum loved them.

I don't remember mint cracknell, but it sounds divine!

Wasn't it in a blue wrapper BewtySkoolDropowt?

BewtySkoolDropowt · 02/12/2016 12:55

It was sillypussy. Maybe a petition is the way forward... There must be more than us that would love to see it return!

The peanut crackenel - like the Bounty Celebration - would always linger in the bottom of the tub long after the rest were eaten, so sorry, no tears here. Does make me think of Christmas, though, and I will give it points for being interesting.
Most QS/Roses seem to be varying levels of caramel/chocolate/hazelnut in differing combinations.

Germgirl · 02/12/2016 15:14

I loved the peanut cracknell. It was in a blue wrapper iirc. It used to stick your teeth together and you'd still be eating it 30 minutes later. A very economical choice. :)

Cracknel nooooo, Coffee a resounding YES! I miss the coffee cream and have to eat extra revels to compensate

AndShesGone · 02/12/2016 16:03

The cracknel was my favourite, for years I hoped they'd bring out a whole box of them like they did with the fucking triangles and the fucking purple bollocks
