I think my MIL goes into my bedroom when she's here looking after the kids. There is nothing in there that the kids need. She knows that. But a few times after she's been round I find things have moved. Of course it might not be her but it only happens when she been round. I just feel like that OH and my personal space. I would never go into someone else's bedroom when they're not there!

Very rude.

I would write FUCK OFF in massive letters on the floor out of paper or pasta or whatever.

If she doesn't go in there, she'll never know. If she does go in there, she'll get the message.

Was thinking about setting a "trap" to see if she is or not Grin

Leaving something right behind the door and if it's moved when I get home I know she definitely has been I'll lock the stair gates so the kids definitely won't be to blame haha!

Leave a massive vibrating dildo on the middle of the bed.

MagicDucky · 02/12/2016 09:46

Hahahaa! That's a genius idea Pidlan!

Handcuffs attached to the bed, naughty outfits, Ooh, huge strap-on, she'll not want to snoop after seeing that.

It is extremely nosy and rude - but at least she doesn't do it openly, so she must realise she shouldn't do it.

My ex had an aunt who would go upstairs to the bathroom (why? there is a loo downstairs) and then go into all the bedrooms. Then she would come downstairs again and announce that even though the window cleaner had just been, none of my beds were made. She saw nothing wrong with this at all.

My ex said that although he wouldn't have done it, he thought I was making a fuss over nothing. (I notice the unmade beds weren't his though - even though he slept in one of them, as did I.)

Leave emigration papers on a sideboard might get more reaction - I'm pretty sure that one MMer dos that with papers to Australia. The MIL fell for the bait if I remember.

Set up a recording device, once you are sure, think of the fun you can have leaving things for her to find, and watch the results.

Leave talc on the floor just inside the door, obviously hide the bottle of talc so she can't redo it once she's trodden in it!!!!
