Husband didn't buy me a Valentine's present

DH didn't buy me a Valentine's present this year as he says he hasn't had time. He's just finishing two weeks paternity leave and says he hasn't been out the house.

I can't see any reason why he couldn't have bought me something on the internet. When DS was born, he bought me a bottle of champagne and (small!) diamond earings. Am I being unreasonable?

perhaps he forgot and won't own up? They are all daft you know!

So 2 weeks ago he bought you some champagne and diamond earrings, since then he's been at home helping you to look after your dc but your annoyed because he didn't get you a Valentine gift to celebrate a day schemed up by greetings card manufacturers?

I spent hours getting our older son (4) to write a card for him. I'd actually also bought him a tie, but I didn't give it to him as I was so cross that he hadn't bought me anything.
