What's this in daughters nose?

Sorry to be so gross and for blatantly courting aibu traffic but... my daughter says this really hurts but is totally insistent she hasn't inserted anything in her nose. Does anyone know what this is or what we should do about it? Thank you so much! It looks like her internal sinus has prolapsed or something. ...??

Go to the Dr? How long has she had it?

Wookiecookies · 30/11/2016 20:35

You should take her to the gp, it looks like a polyp or something that will need to be checked out.

girlandboy · 30/11/2016 20:35

Well, I can't actually see what you're trying to show us, but could it be a polyp?

corythatwas · 30/11/2016 20:35

Some kind of polyp thing? Often treatable, make an appointment with your GP if it affects her.

Mannerscostnothing84 · 30/11/2016 20:35

That's a polyp.

finlayargyle · 30/11/2016 20:36

I would guess polyp.

bingandflop · 30/11/2016 20:37

Thanks everyone she has only mentioned it this evening but may have had it longer. She says it hurts, do nasal polyps usually hurt?

Yes they can be ever so sore

TheoriginalLEM · 30/11/2016 20:38

a quick google of images suggests adenoids. Really common i think and being a child of the 70s myself and most of my school friends had our addrnoids out. Almost like a right of passage!
