I've had a really awful time at work over the last two and a half years.

I was working at a fairly senior level but a traumatic life event meant I stepped down very temporarily.

Went back and was accused of something I didn't do. Nearly ten months of life being on hold. I'm now cleared.

But what do I do now?

Do I continue to try in my current career (while my confidence has been severely affected) or think about something different?

I'm guessing this is public sector?

Try something completely different - where no-one really knows about how your previous sector is put together?

References these days tend to just consist of dates worked from and to - to be honest.

Are you still working in the post involved?

Sorry! Forgot I posted this Blush

I'm not still working on that post but still in that sector on short term contracts - not ideal really.
