Just what is going on in the world?

Many people want Nigel Farage as Britain's ambassador to the USA???

On what planet?

YABU - the entire world needs to see what hate and bile he spews so we can act.
He's a dangerous man.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 22/11/2016 07:08

Yanbu, and I don't know what else to say,

FannyWisdom · 22/11/2016 07:11

It's OK.

Boris rang mummy and they have told Trump there is no vacancy for Nige to fill.

I'm looking forward to Donald and Boris meeting.
I think it will tear a hole in the fabric of reality.
Too much verbal bollocks in one place.

Just imagine what will go through their heads.

Greengoddess12 · 22/11/2016 07:11

He's a massive twat although we have Boris for foreign secretary so really words fail me. Is Nigel much worse? It's all so unbelivable I can't process it.

ForalltheSaints · 22/11/2016 07:13

Tweets show us the real person and so he should keep on using Twitter.

Gingernaut · 22/11/2016 07:13

LokisUnderpants - yeah, that's what I was thinking.

does he stay off Twitter or does he carry on making a twat of himself?

Adele, famously doesn't have direct access to her account anymore. After a few dubious tweets, her media people/person filters everything first.

Does the DT need something similar?

Are they so far removed from British politics that they don't know what Nigel Farage is?

Lots of things Donald Trump needs not to do!

Gingernaut · 22/11/2016 07:15

WTF is happening to Western world?

How did Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage, Michael Pence and Donald Trump get to be where they are??

JustHereForThePooStories · 22/11/2016 07:16

Donald Trump needs to stay off oxygen.

Laiste · 22/11/2016 07:16

This. It's got to be. Or is DT doing it for laughs?

NF is literally a nobody. An divisive nobody.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 22/11/2016 07:17

Yabu- twitter reveals the man.

He loves an exclamation mark!

Ah, all those people who hate the unelected privileged elites must be thinking Wtaf (except they're not!)

I think farage should be ambassador. It's what we deserve.

icanteven · 22/11/2016 07:19

His team managed to wrest it away from him for the last few days of the campaign, but he's back in action now!

It doesn't make a blind bit of difference to his fan base (which, don't forget, is a good 47m Americans) because he has always been quite transparently awful on Twitter.

It's a bit cringey for the US publicly, because when he is president, a lot more people outside the country will hear about it, and see that the country is being "run" by a dotty, inarticulate, petulant and spoilt old man.

Gingernaut · 22/11/2016 07:21

Do you think he pulled a Blackadder style "Who's President?" to get them to let go of the Twitter button?

Trump makes Boris look sensible, reasonable and completely sane.

meditrina · 22/11/2016 07:29

Farage won't be ambassador, as - except under Labour (Peter Jay, the then PM's son-in-law) - Britain doesn't make political appointments, preferring instead career diplomats.

Though I suppose it can theoretically happen.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 22/11/2016 07:31

Every morning now I wake up and hear something on the radio that just a few months ago I would have assumed was a trailer for a comedy programme or some kind of dystopian sci fi drama set in the near future. But now it turns out they are news items. What an extraordinary year 2016 has turned out to be.

This morning's gem was hearing that Trump has tweeted Hmm that he would like Farage to be the UK Ambassador to the US. Surely this can't happen? The trouble is I didn't believe the UK would vote to leave the EU or the US would elect Trump and Pence. Now I think almost anything could happen. Sad

Lweji · 22/11/2016 07:36

Maybe May could make him a special envoy to Trumpland.
He'd live sequestered in a special house in Washington state and only allowed out for walks with his minders.

meditrina · 22/11/2016 07:45

"Surely this can't happen?"

Theoretically, yes it can (because it has in the past). Never by Tories in recent times, though AFAIK.

Temporaryname137 · 22/11/2016 07:46

He needs to stay off this planet Sad

BakeOffBiscuits · 22/11/2016 08:05

"Great" seems to be used in about 50% of Donald Trump's sentences and is the only adjective he uses.

He has a very limited vocabulary.

MrsHiddleston · 22/11/2016 08:11

He should mind his own sodding business. That man makes me shudder.

Trufflethewuffle · 22/11/2016 08:30

We watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang again the other day.

Every time I see Trump now I can hear "You're my little choochy face...."

birdybirdywoofwoof · 22/11/2016 08:31

Yeah that the president feels it appropriate to suggest ambassadors to another country- it's staggering really.

He has no boundaries! Great!

Flowerfae · 22/11/2016 08:33

I think Trump will be a complete arse on or off twitter, at least if he's on twitter we can actually see what an utter joke he is. Speaking of Trump I saw him in Home Alone 2 last night, he's in the lobby telling Kevin which way to go, can't get away from the bastard.
