To being really p****d off with my MIL

She offered to come down to look after the children during half term (I am juggling childcare at the moment). Lovely I said, though I have got a childminder booked for that week, if you are sure let me know which days you will be here and I can cancel the childminder. However they haven't seen the cm since before christmas and everyone is really looking forward to seeing each other again. So it would be nice for the children to have at least one day with the cm
I week later she gave me the dates & I cancelled Thursday with the cm. She assured me that she would come down Wednesday evening as I said I needed childcare from 8:30 Thursday morning
3 weeks later (on Monday) she called to say she was coming down Thursday morning about 10:00 (& she is always late).
So I cancelled childcare arrangements already in place so that she could spend time with them. THEN she lets me down.
Luckily I don't have to go in the office tomorrow & can work from home - fat chance of actually working with a 5 year old & a 2 year old around.

It si never unreasonable to be pissed off with your MIL!

MAke sure you explain (or get DH to explain) te consequences of being arsed around

Well I did tell her that she may HAVE to come down Wednesday evening but I would call her in the afternoon & let her know if I had to be in the office or not.

dh wouldn't actually say much. He passed the phone to me when MIL told him the news.

Yes, your right to be P**d at MIl and your dh for not telling her that she is letting you down again.

If it were me i would say to her not to bother as you have sorted out the childcare and that as you will be in work that there is no point her coming.
