Not to know anything about aftershave

Posting on here for traffic...
It's DH's birthday in a week and he has asked me to get him some
aftershave. This interest in personal grooming is something of a new departure for him and I'm tempted to ask who she is but anyway... I've never bought aftershave before and short of spending an
afternoon in the parfumerie section of a department store with the
brats in tow I don't know where to start.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is nice or not?

i bought my now dh some when i first met him by stealing his deodorant, hovering at boots and talking to whoever seemed the nicest woman working! lol we had a good giggle sniffing his deodorant (to get an idea of what scent he liked) then i just went with what i liked and what had the most "manly" bottle! good luck!

The perfume shop do a set with 5 different mini bottles. It includes a voucher to redeem for a full size bottle of the scent he likes most. I think it cost around £40, That might be an idea?
