We have been let down twice for our dryer modification. First occasion I booked annual leave, got a text at 9 am cancelling due to no panels. Second time Dh who is SE took day off losing pay, cancelled again at 9 am due to sickness. Both times by text. I am fuming that they think your time is so invaluable that they can do this. I could have coped with once but twice. Anyone ales had similar problems? Or am I just unlucky.? Will my email even get read?

Instead, send a letter to head office (only 2 miles away from where I live so I will be happy to hand deliver it if you want me to ) and write "private and confidential" so only the CEO is allowed to open it.

An email will probably just get deleted as they already have enough trouble with tumble dryers catching fire.

Yanbu, they have been beyond shit about this.

Their office is in Peterborough I believe, I am their next week on a training course perhaps I should call in personally, customer services make the right noises but don't seem to get anything done.

Yanbu. My drier was modified months ago with no problem but since then I've had at least another 8 letters informing me that there is a problem and my machine may need to be modified.

They always send out the letters in pairs so I get two at a time.

I have not been using my dryer but will need to soon due to bad weather. It is scary that they are a fire hazard , IMO they should be replaced , we only got ours in Dec 2015

I had mine modified, god knows what they did as it now takes 3 times as long to get anything dry. Sometimes over 3 hours for a load of towels!

My modification appointment was missed, after waiting 8 montha for the repair, i was furious. I wasn't even informed that they couldn't make it, and had to call shitpoint & send an email to prove the date had passed.

The agent then promised I would be contacted within 48 hours & my modification would be treated as urgent & done within a week.

One week I still had no response from hot point, only to have to listen to their statement on watchdog, insisting "all repairs were being done in a timely fashion"

I have now sent an email refusing the modification, and asked for a refund as the repair has not been completed in a timely fashion and has indeed cost me money in phone calls and a days leave off work & due to lack of faith, trust & basic communicationcommunication & customer service.

Still no reply!

Whilst the government, who are happy to receive VAT on these products, continue to ignore it, despite the fire brigade's warning & ignore many consumer groups - disgusting all round!

I have emailed CEOs a few times and it gets results faster than customer services! Go for it, nothing to lose.

If you're on twitter tweet them, they are putty in your hand, especially if you refuse to move to direct messages straight away, they don't like the publicity that bad customer service would give them on twitter

I've been waiting for over a year for a modification, have been let down once and refused to book other in, we have bought a new tumble drier so need to get in touch for them to collect their old one. Does anyone have the best address to write to, and thank you pp for the tip of writing to CEO and labelling private and confidential, think that might be a plan.

I have two of these faulty dryers and have been waiting since October/Nov last year for modifications. I have given up ringing and being fobbed off. I have been refused a refund from them and from the company I bought them from. I will never buy from them again.

I'm not sure they do care about bad publicity.

Their dryers have burned homes down. The fire brigade are pissed off. Watchdog are pissed off. Thousands of previous customers are pissed off.

They don't give a fuck.
