This is my first post (may well be my lastShock)
Feeling so sorry for the people of Italy who have suffered another earthquake( last one was a couple of months ago)
People will have lost homes, have suffered injuries and it has not even got a mention on here
But let's talk and debate the trivial stuff which is of such little importance

Yes it has.

There was a thread started early this morning.

Yes, today and there's already a thread running in the 'In The News' topic.

Not every issue needs a parallel thread in AIBU, nor is there any need to restrict AIBU to weighty/serious matters

I saw a thread about this last night, it may just not be in active convos right now. And anyway, YABU - sometimes people need an escape from thinking about troubles in the world. Sometimes to deal with small issues closer to home, sometimes just a bit of cheer. Its not as though a general gloom and doom thread and people 'thinking' about it actually helps anyone.

But apologies - That probably sounded pissier than I meant. I've done the 'oh, why are we discussing A when B is so much more important' thing myself. Please don't be discouraged from posting ... starting a thread in AIBU was, shall we say, a bit brave.
