Covering a 10 inch cake it's 2 cakes cut into four layers (3 filling layers)
How much fondant will I need?
I bought 1000g but decided the cake looked too shallow and did another. Now I have no idea how much more I'll need. Any ideas?

Work out the depth of the finished cake and calculate using this chart from Wilton. Buy a bit more than it says you need.

1kg should do tbh. I do short 10in cakes and would usually use about 500 - 600g. I tend to buy a 1 kg and it does the cake, decorations and leaves leftovers.

You only need It to be about 1/2cm thick.
