To think Halloween has gone a bit too far

I was talking with a friend this morning about Halloween activities and themes at play centres etc.

I went to one with DD and staff were dressed up, one had those smokey contact lenses in and extremely realistic wounds painted on her face.

My friend said her local one had a couple of very realistic lifesize statues, one with a knife in its head and hanging neck and another really scary mask. She said she saw two children clinging to their parents crying in distress.

I'm pissed off. There no need for Halloween to be this extreme, especially not in kids play centres etc

I would have loved that when I was a kid...but maybe I was a weird child!

Yea it's too much at a play centre.

Halloween isn't supposed to be a generalised horror-fest anyway. The scary element is about ghosts and spirits (hallows) NOT graphic knife wounds.

I will be locking my doors and not leaving my house after work on Halloween! Too many little shits (not small children, mean teenagers) running around demanding "treats" and money.

It's gone way too far.
