Surely if you are giving details which may "out" you its irrelevant what username you have?

Not really - if posting about a particular thing will out you, you don't necessarily want people who know you AS-ing your username and learning lots of other things from your posting history.

Your username may be linked to lots of other posts which you don't want people who know you to see or that will really help to identify you!!

Ah right, am with you now, I hadn't thought of that.... (can you tell I don't search history..)
Thankyou for answering!

I wonder how many will now search my history......can I advise sleeping bag and comfy pillow, I'm as boring asf!

You're less likely to be 'outed' if people can't join the dots by checking out your posting history.

Hassled · 24/10/2016 22:23

Yes - on its own my blinding revelation that I have a secret lovechild and three nipples isn't going to out me, but set it against the many things I've disclosed about myself as Hassled over the years and anyone who even vaguely knows me will make the connection. And then everything I've posted as Hassled will become public knowledge.
