wedding dress

Anybody remember the wedding dress thread where the OP needed her dress altering and a lady from Leeds (I think) came to her rescue, did she ever put a wedding pic up? Would love to see it on the day!

The bride didn't use the woman's alterations in the end and had more alterations afterwards.

There wasn't a photo.

It was a bit awkward.

As far as I recall, wedding dress lady has thread removed and cut all contact with the person who did the alterations..

Turned out that wedding dress lady had the dress further altered and was embarrassed

Alterations lady was perfectly charming about it.

I don't know why she didn't like them.

She blocked the alterations lady from social media but I think she did get in touch in the end to say that she had been too embarrassed to say that she didn't like the alterations. She apologised, the alterations lady was charming and that was that.

Ohhh! Really?! I am surprised by this. I thought it had all gone swimmingly.

(I am thinking of the same thread, right? The one where the alterations lady put in a corset back or something? And the thread got very long, with lots of supporters?)

Yup - ilove who did the alterations was lovely, OP - crapartist was a massive thundercunt about the whole thing. Rather than just tell ilove nicely that she'd decided to go for more alternations, she blocked her on Facebook and ignored her text messages, and had the thread removed on here. ilove found out second-hand via someone else in Facebook that the bride had changed all the alterations and not bothered to tell her. Angry

Yeah it all went a bit mad. But we all love ilove (the person who altered the dress) who was absolutely amazing about it all. The OP was embarrassed and handled it all really badly.
