Sorry, I know all the old beans here hate this sort of newby shite offsetting via sweariness but I have no idea what 'flip this thread' does and I AM TOO SCARED TO PRESS THE BUTTON in case it breaks mumsnet or something and you try googling 'flip thread' loads of weird crafting results and reddit. And I've done really well reading the acronyms and R all the FTs carefully and never once troll hunting...
If I get flamed for this I warn you I will Flip the shit out of all the threads and then you'll be sorry.

In order to make this more fun, bonus question:

Guess how beans are in my bean jar?

Thingmcthingyface · 11/10/2016 14:01

HA! I just flipped my own thread to see what would happen.
Precisely nothing.

There are 7 beans in the bean jar.

NOTHING TO SEE HERE. Go read the cake thread.

Thingmcthingyface · 11/10/2016 14:02

Oh. NOW i know that it does. That's quite useful.

DramaInPyjamas · 11/10/2016 14:02

IT flips it so that you are reading last comment first instead of chronologically

phillipp · 11/10/2016 14:02

It shows you the last post first, sort of reverses the thread.

It won't do it with one post. As there is nothing to flip.

Try again when people have posted

Topseyt · 11/10/2016 14:02

Flip the thread means that you can read the last post first, and read all the posts in reverse order rather than from the beginning.

I have no idea how many beans might be in your jar. 50?

Maudlinmaud · 11/10/2016 14:03

I had never done it before but was brave after reading your post. I dont like it!

Thingmcthingyface · 11/10/2016 14:04

Lots of X-posting thank you helpful people.

7 beans. But since Topsyt guessed closest they win.

Although... no one has guessed what KIND of beans they are....

sorry cant help myself

CoffeeAndOranges · 11/10/2016 14:06

It's useful if you're following a long thread then come back to see what else has been added, you can flip the thread to see the most recent posts without having to scroll through all of them.

ErrolTheDragon · 11/10/2016 14:09

Its extremely useful... tbh I'd prefer it to always show newest first (i have it set that way in the browser but afaik cant customise in the app).

Elllicam · 11/10/2016 14:12

Erm are they cannellini beans?

OutDamnedWind · 11/10/2016 14:15

I love that you googled it rather than just trying it Grin

I'm going to guess at 7 beans?

TheVermiciousKnid · 11/10/2016 14:24

I don't think they're beans at all. I think they're lentils. Hmm

Hannahfftl · 11/10/2016 14:28

If I get flamed for this I warn you I will Flip the shit out of all the threads and then you'll be sorry

tofutti · 11/10/2016 14:32

In my mind, they are Jelly Beans. The legit ones.

RoseanneDownton · 11/10/2016 14:34

what is the prize?

Zaphodsotherhead · 11/10/2016 14:38

Only 7 beans in one jar? Runner beans then. You can't get many in a jar. Unless you snap them in half, or it's a very big jar.

Or they are baked beans and you just don't have very many.

TheMumAndOnly28 · 11/10/2016 15:16

i like cakes

coughingbean · 11/10/2016 15:17

I like you op

Thingmcthingyface · 11/10/2016 23:08

GUYS.... They are MAGIC beans. That's why only 7.

Of course I googled before I tried it... learnt my lesson with that whole throwing hot water into the cold air business

coughingbean Someone on mumsnet likes me! Gonna print that on T-shirt and sashay round tesco in it. Thank you.
