My kid won't wipe their arse!

My son is 6.5

I'm in the bath.

He won't wipe his own arse and is currently begging me to do it for him.

25 minutes so far. I feel cruel. Apparently all I need to do is get out the bath wipe his bum and go back to my bath. (Different room)

Oh my god just wipe his bum. He might have a bad tummy. Poor kid

No he doesn't gizmo. He's never done it is what I mean.

Does your child have a disability that prevents wiping? If they do then help him. If not then why on earth have you still been doing it this long?

No no disability. Just point blank refused. Bit of a fear of getting dirty hands. I've been trying for years.

It's taken 37 minutes. But he's just done it himself. And he's proud as punch.

Hooray! Big well done for wiping his butt I think you did the right thing in holding out and making him do it himself! It is a life skill after all
