Playdates have dried up...is it a common thing by this stage? Very social and lovely child but No invitations at all...
I know, I'm sensitive but it feels a bit sad. I'm a mum of an only child...
Shall I keep inviting?? Thanks for you opinion

DS is Y3 and time is generally taken up with activities now.

My DD (yr 4) and DS (yr 3) tend to have close friends for parties, sleepovers and play dates.

I am finding though that as a SM I don't have the flexibility I used to offer play dates as much as I used to (prior to being SM). Also at weekends I want to just chill without the responsibility of having an additional child/children.

I would also think that clubs are also a feature as well, not so much in our household.

I would suggest that you invite her/his friends over and it also helps if you get to know the parents. That way you maybe able to understand why dates haven't been forthcoming or if there are alternative ways to meet up eg. join cubs, beavers
