to ask if you'd go to a flight simulator show?

DH and I are having a patch at the moment. He is going to a flight simulator show in 2 weeks. He is very much into aviation - has a flight simulator type set up at home - and we sometimes go to the viewing park at Manchester Airport. The latter I enjoy with him as we get to go out and often have our lunch out too.

He said to me yesterday that if I could get my parents to have our son that day, I could go with him if I wanted. I said I dont mind either way and to go on his own if he would prefer.

so, AIBU to ask if you'd go?

Yes I have been with him to things like this and actually enjoyed it.

I am actually very scared of flying and dh is doing PPL at the moment. But we find ways to enjoy it together.

He comes with me to things related to my hobby too.

I think I would, I enjoyed the simulators I have been on and love the RAF museum in Hendon.

If it's really not your thing then I don't think I'd force myself in your shoes. You'll resent him for wasting your time on something you have no interest in.

(For balance, I didn't even invite DH to tbe beauty show in Manchester because he'd be bored off his tits).

Why don't you go with an open mind? You can always take a book with you and after a while if you're board tel him you'll go hang out with a cup of tea and read for a bit whilst he goes geek-max.

I'd go - it sounds like it would be good fun.

I don't think it means those moving simulators like you get at the RAF museum more like PC flying type games.

A guy a work with is obsesses with them and at weekend flies real time to New York ffs.

If he is just going to be messing about on computers then why bother to be honest, or something you would like to do in same area and then have some time after for food or something?
