To remember where that safe place is?

So, of course, I've put something in a safe place and now can't remember where nor can I find it. AIBU to have thought this was ever a good idea?

I'm always doing that. What was it?

A sim for a tablet. Sent it off for repair and it's taken them far longer than expected to fix. Hence long enough for me to forget where I placed the sim (or misplaced, as is the case!).

Mantlepiece, bedside table, underneath the coffee table, in the kitchen next to the diary and unpaid bills, in a drawer in the study with passports, by the front door with the avon magazine.

Sometimes I carry important things with me upstairs, then need the loo and end up leaving them next to the bathroom sink.

I have a feeling I put it in a little pocket inside one of my handbags. Which I have since emptied out over a bin.

I can always get another sim but that's not the point!

this is why we have a box on the fridge called the safe place.
When you took out the sim which room were you in? did you do it while packing the tablet?

In your purse/handbag
Kitchen crap drawer
In a vase
With chargers and remote controls
Jewellery box?

Inside any of your shoes, in a suitcase, in an envelope in a letter rack,

In the back of your phone? That's where I keep my spare sim.

A pocket in your purse or handbag. An envelope in the drawer of doom.... Near the phone.... good luck!!!

In a glasses case? It's where I've found all sorts of small things.

Took me 7 years to find the straighteners I'd put in a safe place to stop eldest pinching them!
