People who are late

I was arranging to go somewhere important today. Family member very kindly offered to babysit rather than me rearrange and I was extremely grateful.

I was going to walk down to their house but family member said they were in town and would pick child up and be ready for 9.45am. At 10.30 I was getting a bit panicked but they rang and said they were two minutes away. They then turned up at 10.57 after basically stopping at local outlet shop.

I couldn't take the youngest dc to the appointment with me so I was very very late.

Aibu to be pissed off even though they were doing me a huge favour?

YANBU, thats a nasty stunt to pull on someone that needs a hand.

TheVirginQueen · 22/09/2016 16:23

yeh, thanks for nothing really.

YANBU.
Late people are rude and put themselves first. Even if they did decide to do a bit of shopping, the least they could have done is phoned you to let you know.

Well they weren't doing you a huge favour by making you massively late. I know it can seem ungrateful to complain about someone who is doing a favour, but it was an appointment, at a set time, and they knew this so - YADNBU to be pissed off!

I hate lateness with a passion - and over an hour late (favour or not) is a huge piss-take.
